Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard claims Luiz Suarez could become a better striker than Carlos Tevez
Liverpool skipper, Steven Gerrard, feels that his new teammate Luis Suarez has all the attributes to become a better striker than Carlos Tevez in the Barclays Premier League.
The Barclays Premier League has been hard to adapt for many foreign players in recent times. The South American players have especially found it difficult to perform in English football due to its demanding physique and speed.
However, Carlos Tevez is one of the rare South American players to have fully established himself in the Barclays Premier League.
The Argentinian striker was a huge success in his first season as he singlehandedly prevented West Ham United from being relegated.
Tevez went on to win two Premier League title and UEFA Champions League in his next two seasons with Manchester United.
The Argentinian is now captain of Manchester City that has qualified for next year’s UEFA Champions League.

Luis Suarez was named Man of the match despite Maxi Rodriguez scored his second hat-trick in three games.
Steven Gerrard hails Suarez’s extraordinary performance against Fulham and claimed that the former Ajax striker could go on to become one of the most lethal strikers in the world.
Gerrard told the reporters, “I think it's natural you're going to compare him to Tevez because of his build, his shape, the way he plays. But for me, what I've seen so far, I'm going to be slightly biased because he's on my own team and he's one of our players,
[but] I think he could go on to be better”.
Even though Gerrard has not played that much with Luiz Suarez but the English midfielder claimed that Suarez is a dream striker for any midfielder due to his movement.
The Liverpool captain was very impressed by Suarez’s off ball running and his unfathomable work rate.
Gerrard added, “But what's impressing me even more about him is when he hasn't got the ball. His tenacity to win it back, his attitude and in the 92nd and 93rd minute, he's trying to get a second goal, closing defenders down, just an absolute joy to watch
tonight [Monday] he was”.
Luiz Suarez has been a revelation for Liverpool since his arrival from Ajax and the Uruguayan striker has already scored four goals in 11 appearances for the Merseyside club.
