Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard claims team close to finding form
Liverpool's captain, Steven Gerrard has gone ahead and denied that the team is currently suffering a crisis of any sort and has insisted that he and the rest of the Liverpool squad are not too worried about the current proceedings
at the club.
The thirty year old, life-long Liverpool player has accepted that the team has had a very poor and disappointing start to their domestic season, but he still feels that there is no reason for the fans to be worried just yet. This
is despite the fact that Liverpool have currently won only one game this season and are sitting in the relegation zone being seeded in the eighteenth spot.
The player was reported to have said: "I don't think it's a 'crisis'. I'm not too worried"
"Obviously the league table doesn't look too good at the moment, but we are close and I feel if we get a bit of luck going our way or we pull one big performance out the bag, things can improve and we can move up the table.
Why the player would claim that the team is not in a crisis is rather weird. It is more than apparent that Liverpool are currently suffering their fair share of problems. The team is currently on the brink of going into administration
and with the current owners of the club refusing to let go off the club to new owners, there is a long tedious battle ahead for the club to resolve their ownership issues. Those however are only the team’s off-field problems, on the pitch they have their own
problems; almost every player at the club seems to have hit a pool of bad form and due to this reason alone, the team has performed terribly so far this season.
Despite that fact, the team’s captain seems to claim that there is nothing wrong with the club, what this leads us to believe is the fact that Steven Gerrard is quite possibly one of the most mentally challenged players around,
or that the player has finally come to terms with the fact that Liverpool, no longer have the same potential and capabilities that they once had and their current league standings are the best that they can do.
