Liverpool close in on Aston Villa’s Ashley Young and Newcastle United’s Jose Enrique
It appears as though Liverpool might just be the new leaders in the race to land two of the most promising players in the Premier League. According to most rumours, the Reds are now leading the line to capture signatures.
It is unclear as to how, or, why Liverpool are now leading the race to land the talented duo, but at this point not a lot of people are asking any questions regarding the situation.
Ashley Young
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Young-c6813 joined Aston Villa from Watford at the start of the 2006 season and since then has gone on to become the team’s main man. In fact the player’s influence in the team is such that he has often taken to the field as the captain of the club.
So far in his career with Villa he has gone on to make a massive hundred and eighty-three appearances, while scoring thirty-seven goals and picking up fifty-four assists along the way.
Those stats just go to show the brilliance of the wing magician. Young is brilliant from the dead-ball situation and his crossing ability and pace just add to what he brings to the table.
Kenny Dalglish has been looking to bring in a wide man to re-shape his side and it seems like the manager would prefer brining in a seasoned Premier League player, rather than landing a player and hoping he adjusts to the style of play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Jose Enrique
Liverpool have been linked with a potential move for the Spanish full-back since January, but it seems like they might finally get their man at the end of the season.
The twenty five year old left-back, has the ability to make crucial game changing tackles, while also going up to assist with the offence every now and then. Enrique joined Newcastle United in the 2007 season and since his very first season with the club,
he went on to secure a permanent starting role with the club.
So far the defender has managed to make a hundred and twenty-four appearances for the team, while having scored only one goal along the way.
With Liverpool being rather desperate to land some full-backs, in order to add depth to their squad, it seems as if Enrique is just the ideal man for the job. It was recently also believed that a deal was already struck between the Toon and the Reds for
Enrique, but neither club has come forth to confirm, or, deny those allegations.
Nonetheless, if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are to land the duo, they are going to have to part ways with as much as thirty-four million pounds.
