Liverpool FC will secure the signature of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076 in the early part of January, some sources have confirmed.
The English International has remained a fringe player at Stamford Bridge since the sacking of Andre Villas Boas. The new manager at the helm, Rafa Benitez, does not deem him suitable for his future plans for the Blues and has, hence, decided to do away
with him in January.
It is no hidden secret that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are in search for strikers, as the team’s abysmal conversion rate has been the primary factor behind their woeful start. Brendan Rodgers has been made to work with a single recognized striker in Luis Suarez over the
last couple of months, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 unlikely to make a return till at least January due to an injury.
Sources have learnt that the Merseyside outfit have reached to an agreement with the talented forward, who has had very little or no part to play in the Blues campaign.
An offer in the proximity of 12 million pounds will be enough to prize him out of Stamford Bridge. Although http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are other potential suitors having reportedly expressed their interest in the player, rumour has it that Sturridge will spurn any advances
from the Gunners, as at Liverpool, he is likely to get a regular starting berth immediately.
While speaking to the media earlier, Benitez confirmed that he plans on introducing new faces during January and hinted on selling the players who might facilitate the process.
He said, “My way to do things is go to the people in charge. They will know my ideas and after the club will decide. You don't need to talk to the owner too much because he has people in between. I know what he likes, he knows what I like.”
On the other hand, Rodgers, who made manifest his aim of giving it his all to help the Reds finish inside the top four, has already admitted that he needs to bring in strikers midway into the season if he is to meet his goals.
When Sturridge was approached to comment on the rumours of his Stamford Bridge exodus, the striker responded by confessing that he has had a difficult spell at West London, and hinted at making a switch to a club where his talents will b more valued.
“It is difficult to judge me as a player and say my goalscoring record is this or that when I do not play regularly. Not playing regularly is the most difficult thing for anyone to handle,” he had said.
Given the limited opportunity that he has had to prove himself, it might be that a move to Liverpool will unleash all the extraordinary football traits many know the player possesses.
