Liverpool defender Carragher praises Luis Suarez, Kenny Dalglish – Premier League news
Liverpool defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jamie-Carragher-c17728 has heaped praises upon his manager Kenny Dalglish and striker Luis Suarez.
The veteran insisted that Suarez has made a big difference in the Reds campaign since he landed at Anfield but rated Dalglish a bit higher than the Uruguayan.
Suarez made his way to Liverpool during the January 2011 transfer window for 22.8 million Pounds and has had a positive impact on the Reds. Dalglish also took charge of the club in January following the departure of Roy Hodgson and the Scot has done a lot
in this remarkable turnaround.
Carragher was of the view that the 60-year-old Scot completely transformed a depleted unit into a commanding one and deserves a lot of applause for enabling the club to sit in the top five. The defender went out of words in praise of the influential manager
and wished to see him with the side in the next 2011-12 season.
The 33-year-old defender praising the duo said, “Of course, the manager is always the main man and takes most plaudits, but for me Luis Suarez has been outstanding.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international seemed delighted at the arrival of Suarez and reckoned that the 24-year-old could be a big hit at Anfield.
Carragher also thanked Dalglish who decided to bring the striker at the club in order to solve Liverpool’s growing striking woes. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 which made way for the Uruguayan.
Suarez has had a decent start to his Liverpool career as the striker already has 3 goals under his belt from 10 League appearances. He also scored on his debut against Stoke City on February 2, 2011 after coming off from the bench in the 63rd
minute.
Veteran of 665 matches for Liverpool, Carragher concluded by saying, “We all think after watching him for five or six games that he is a player - we can all see that, and he has made a big difference to us. Maybe not as much as the manager, but a big one.”
Liverpool are currently fifth in the League table with 55 points and the UEFA Champions League spot looks unlikely for the Reds. With three games left to play in the campaign, they look all set to qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
