Fabio Capello resigned as England manager yesterday and players have taken to different forums to express their views on the matter including the Reds’ right back.
The on-going http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 defender from the England captaincy.
Terry, who pleaded not guilty to allegations of racially abusing Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Ferdinand-c6260, was stripped of his England armband after the ‘high-ups’ in the FA decided on the move.
Apparently, Capello’s input was not taken on the matter and was merely informed of the course of action that the FA was taking. The manager set up talks with his employers at the end of which he resigned from his post.
He did not announce the reasons for the move but can assume that the fact the FA undermined the Italian manager’s authority will surely be the major reason.
A number of players took to social platforms and other media outlets where they expressed their views on the matter.
One such player was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Glen-Johnson-c15050, who tweeted, “Sad news to see Capello step down.”
The Tweet continued, “”Good man and a good manager. #ThanksForEverything.”
Johnson enjoyed his best run in an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 shirt under the manager and was not alone in voicing his support and disappointment over the matter.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kyle-Walker-c21566, who is Johnson’s closest rival for the right back spot in the England squad tweeted, “Gutted to see Fabio Capello go he put a lot of trust in me and gave me my first cap just to say a big thanks really.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 youngster, Jack Wilshire, also took to Twitter to share his feelings, “Shocked about news on Fabio Capello...gutted to be honest, gave me my 1st cap and believed in me! Thank you Mr Capello! #GreatManager.”
However, while some players thanking the now former England manager, others such as Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736, was already looking ahead to who the next manager would be. If it was up to him and a majority of fans then the answer seems to be
Harry Redknapp.
It seems that for the time being no one knows and we will all have to wait and see.
