Ryad Boudebouz, the 21-year-old Algerian international, revealed he was aware of interest from English Premier League side Liverpool.
However, he insisted there had been no official offer by the Reds because of which he was not yet planning an exit from Ligue 1 side FC Sochaux-Montbeliard.
The attacking midfielder is contracted to the French outfit the end of the 2013 season, but revealed he would consider making a move away if an official offer was made during the summer transfer window.
While he insisted he was perfectly happy at Sochaux, he would not mind making a move away in search for a fresh challenge.
He mentioned talks were underway between the two sides over a possible move, but there had not yet been a concrete offer by the Premier League outfit.
Boudebouz said in an interview:
“The Liverpool interest is solid.
There has been contact but we have to take our time, meet the chairman and remain calm.
I want to sit down and discuss things when we return for pre-season training.”
The youngster continued:
“If there is an important offer, we will not be able to turn it down.
I don't wish to leave Sochaux but if there is an offer on the table, I will think about it.”
Boudebouz made his senior debut for Sochaux in the 2008-2009 season, making 33 appearances for the French outfit in all competitions and scoring 3 goals.
Having finished his third season with Sochaux, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of 103 appearances and has found the back of the net 18 times.
Despite being only 21, Boudebouz had managed to secure a place in the senior Algeria national side, after playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 at the youth level.
Sammy Lee leaves Liverpool
Recent reports reveal Liverpool assistant manager Sammy http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-c21860 has parted ways with the Reds. The club has yet to confirm the news or comment on Lee’s departure.
It is not yet certain why Lee has decided to leave Anfield, but it is believed that the arrival of former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 assistant manager Steve Clarke may have something to do with it.
Lee has been at Anfield since 1993 and has done well under Rafa Benitez, Roy Hodgson and most recently under Kenny Dalglish.
He is reportedly on his way to relegated side West Ham United, where he will be reuniting with Sam Allardyce, whom he previously worked with at Bolton Wanderers.
