Liverpool fans: Another question about our youth stars...

Question

Dani Pacheco - Barcelona's head youth coach said "He was our most promising youth player, better than Fabregas."

Krisztian Nemeth - 36 goals in 24 matches for Hungary's youth teams and scoring goals for fun in the reserve team.

Damien Plessis - Started most of Liverpool's pre-season games and has done extremely well.

So my questions are:

1. What role do you think these players will have to play in the coming season?

2. What role do you think they'll play in the future of Liverpool?

3. Can they live up to their early promise?

1. I think Plessis has proved himself in Premiership games and if I were Mascherano I wouldn't be letting my form drop anytime soon!!

Pacheco n Nemeth will only be seen in Carling Cup games.

2. Only Plessis has a future, the other 2 will disappear like all the rest.

Dont forget about Emiliano Insua who I feel is the MOST promising player at Liverpool. Jay Spearing and Stephen Darby (think his name is) are really highly rated too. Shame about Leto with the work permit. Adam Hammill looked good for a while too. Not sure how hes doing away on loan though.

1. I think they will all be played fairly regularly in the carling cup, i haven't seen Nemeth play yet so no sure about him but the other two could also make a few premiership appearances against the weaker sides.

2. The two strikers will have to prove to rafa over the next season what they are capable of to be able to force their way into regualr first team football with the likes of el nino and keane dominating the strike force. But Plessis could well be a regular in the future as he has already played premier league football and so has the vital experience.

3. If they are played fairly often then i think they will but they need the experience as the premiership is the best league in the world and normally takes time for new players to settle.

1 ) All will have some sort of role, especially Plessis.

2 ) Hopefully a good one, but you never know.

I honestly think this season is too early for Pacheco. He has just turned 17 and needs another year to grow. I think we will see him in the League Cup games though, and I expect really big things from this lad!

Nemeth is the real star in the reserves for me, he is pure class and showed that against rangers when he came on, involved in two goals! I expect him to figure for us in all competitions this year, as a sub mainly!

Plessis I feel will be the same as Nemeth. I feel sorry for Damien aswel. What must he think about Barry? We dont need Barry because of Plessis. If we need cover i would rather see a young player rather trhn a older one.

Also you have missed out players like Derby, Spearing, Insua and Leto! I think Leto will get a few chances this year and Derby and Spearing should aswel because they are young, Talented and scouse!  Leto could be a great player also. He can beat a player and needs to improve on his final delivery. He needs to sort out the work permit issue aswel (not his fault i know but the club need to do something)

I think we will see some of them blooded in this year plessis may get his chance while Mascherano is away with the olympics Nemeth has to get a few games maybe in the league cup Pacheco needs a few games or i think we may loose him to a spanish team maybe could give him a loan deal

Our future is looking good now Rafa has been slated for his youth policy but it looks to be taking shape now

I think they will live up to the promise but you will never guarentee it there has been promising youth before who have failed in the end richie partridge neil mellor etc

I think Pacheco and Nemeth will play in league cup games or FA Cup games or late in the season if we are clearly ahead. Plessis however may find himself playing quite a few times this season early on and against teams like Hull or Stoke (no offence Hull & Stoke fans).

They will be a big part in the future, especially Pacheco and Nemeth because they look very promising. Plessis is looking better and better cos he is more confident and nearly scored a screamer against Rangers.

I think they can live up to it.

1) i think that rafa will start them in some of the premier league games especially plessis but they we also feature in most of the reserve games.

1) I'm hoping that this season we will see more of Plessis. Maybe some Carling Cup games for Nemeth and Pacheco. Or if usual starteds are rested/injured. I also hope that Rafa will start Emiliano Insúa (big fan of his) on either the left side of midfield or defense.

2) I think Krisztian Nemeth + Damien Plessis will play a strong role in the future of Liverpool. I'm not sure about the other reserves yet.

3) If they are given a fair amount of playing time then I shouldn't see why not.

1)Rafa has to start them in some games, so it will give them the confidence they need to improve. They have showed extreme promise in the friendlies.

2)Well, I think they will be regulars in the 1st team, no doubt about it, and in the far future the fans will have made songs about them!

3)Yes, hopefully under the guidance of Rafa and Ablett they should develop into world class stars.
