If you didn't see it, like me, here's the match report:
"Although Keane was not responsible for setting up Torres for his opener in the 24th minute, there was enough inter-passing and thrilling movement between the £40m pairing to suggest that they will run many a defence ragged before the season is out. In the 13th minute, Keane began finding Torres with sweetly timed passes. On the first memorable occasion, Torres failed to take advantage, though there were more glimmers of promise to come.
The rout began when Damien Plessis, partnering Steven Gerrard in midfield, unleashed a shot that proved too hot for Rangers keeper Allan McGregor to handle. Torres helped himself to the loose ball, scoring one of the easiest goals of his already-illustrious career.
Four minutes later came sparkling teamwork between Keane and Torres, though on this occasion the Spaniard's shot was blocked.
Torres was substituted at half time by David N'gog who added a virtuoso second at the end of a solo run in the 57th minute, which signalled a well deserved rest for Gerrard and Keane.
Yossi Benayoun added a third after Krisztian Nemeth forced McGregor to parry into the Isreali's path. And Xabi Alonso completed an emphatic display by the Merseysiders when he drilled the fourth from the penalty spot after being fouled by Kirk Broadfoot."

Bring on the new season I say! The title is ours! ;)
