Liverpool --> Robbie Keane, United--> Berbatov, Spurs -->Dos Santos, Modric. Arsenal - ??

Arsenal fans aren't you getting pissed off watching these transfers ? Liverpool get Robbie Keane, United close in on Berbatov and hes ready to sign, Sp*rs get Dos Santos, Bentley, Modric, Arshavin, Chelsea get Deco, while Hleb & Flamini leave we get Nasri and thats our 'big' signing of the summer, thats only one position replaced, and theres injuries, Fabregas (hamstring), Kolo Toure (hip), Abou Diaby (thigh), Philippe Senderos (hamstring) and Samir Nasri (knee/thigh) on the sidelines along with Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo, who both are out till September & November.

I always wanted Berbatov to come to Arsenal, Wenger said he admires him a lot It doesn't look like happening as hes ready to agree personal deals.

Do you think Wenger will sign a big name like Berbatov, Torres, Benzema, etc in the next 2 or 3 years ?

I'm LAUGHING at these signings. Didn't Liverpool sign Torres last season, as one of the best signings in premier league history? And were they not also out of the premier league race half way through the season.

Arsene Wenger could sign any "big name players" but they will have already been moulded into a style that would not suit Arsenal's style, which is the best in the world. So he signs alot of young players and transforms them very quickly.

What im EXCITED about is how MANY young'uns he has signed. Nasri, Bischoff, Ramsey, Vela back from loan and apparently one more player. Now that we have real DEPTH, we are in a much better position than last year

Arsenal fans should be worried all they have done is bought players for excange players they have sold and NO, wenger will not sign a big name player.

I think the most possible signings to be benzema or la red of real madrid. Berbatov is from tottenham and it will be very hard to get him from their biggest rival. Somemore, tottenham is constantly trying to improve their squad so it will be very difficult to get Berbatov. They have already lost Defoe and Keane. Benzema will watch how Nasri progresses before deciding to go to arsenal. La Red will go to other club if he does not play regularly for Real Madrid.

Yes, and i know fans of other teams are going to get alot of glory from the Arsenal injuries and lack of signings, its not looking as though its going to be a good start for us this season.

Im hoping that with the team we have got at the moment, we wont drop too many points, as the start of last years season was our strong point, i was hoping we could do the same and go on even longer this time!

Only time will tell, whether Boss will buy anyone else (2 weeks left), and hopefully once our current injured players are back to full fitness, they shall all be fit and kick some **** !!

you have to remember the debt arsenal are in for the emirates stadium and the redevelopment of highbury add that to the credit crunch fall in house prices £20 MILLION INTEREST and you have your answer its gonna be years before you compete at the top again make do picking up potential youngsters move over spurs are coming through

Wenger would never sign a big name but he will MAKE a big name. He is going to make Walcott, Nasri and all the others into big stars. What he is doing is that he is building a team for the future not the present.

why are u worrying! yes we will get big names in the next 2-3 yrs! but u have to be patient! u have to understand wenger doesn't buy ready made talent often! he usually buys players from small clubs n makes them in to amazing players! as for fabregas its not too serious his injury! he'll be fine in no time except he'll miss tom. game against twente! yes we do have a lotof players injured but the thing is we'll do fine! we still have v. persie n gallas n walcott! n soo many more! n i dunt think we need big names in arsenal just yet! i believe wenger said he is happy witht he team he has right now!

I'm not worried at all. It has never been the club's policy (under Wenger anyway) to purchase big names just for the h**l of it. We have purchased quality players this summer already and I fully expect Arsene to add an experienced DM before the transfer window closes. If Arsene also added a quality center back I would be stoked. Other than that, we don't need anyone.

And no, I don't seen Wenger making a signing like that anytime in the near future.

** Word has it Wenger has three players lined up and hope's to sign one by Friday. You people (esp. Arsenal fans) need to learn to trust Arsene. He knows what he's doing. He always brings in signings at the last minute. I can't wait til some of these signings go through, hopefully that will shut some of you up.

i know,we should have bought more experienced players but i think our current team is great

the only burden is the injuries that we are already suffering

what is funny if liverpool are serious title contenders why did they sign a second rate striker in keane, why are united going for the better player in berbatov, its all down to managers and wenger seems to know what hes doing but hes really unlucky with the injury situation especially the new one fabregas.

now that berba is leaving you can add arshavin or pavluychenko as well. i think afc are a bit short financially because of their new stadia also wenger likes to keep a settled squad and does not really make wholesale changes.

Don't warry man,  real Arsenal fans are not worryed at all, most clubs sign just to get confident! The only thing I am worried about is a new team doctor because players are getting injured way too fast, and every sinlge time!

No he wont sign a big name - he never does, Wenger does it his way and we just have to trust him - Nasri and Ramsey will be good signings.  I was happy to see Flamini go as he's only in the game for the money, as for Hleb, he never settled with us.
