The 18-year-old attacker netted a hat-trick on his Eredivisie debut, and his brilliant performance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 has garnered him interest from one of the biggest clubs in English Premier League.
Reports in English media indicate that Liverpool are taking keen interest in luring http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven wonder-kid, Jurgen Locadia, to Anfield in the upcoming winter transfer market.
The 18-year-old, who recently broke into the Boeren senior side, has been in the spot light since making a dream Eredivisie debut against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NAC-Breda-c39983 on September 30.
The young attacker entered on the pitch in the 68th minute to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Narsingh, and he took only seven minutes to add his name to the score-sheet.
After netting his first goal in the highest echelons of Dutch football, the Dutchman went on to move around the box even better and managed to score two more goals before the full time whistle to complete his hat-trick.
The Reds have made a woeful start to their 2012/13 English Premier League campaign under the new coach, Brendan Rodgers. Not only the club has failed to grind out good results thus far, they have also struggled to find the back of the net consistently as
well.
And the former Swansea City boss has reportedly expressed interest in signing the highly talented youngster in the upcoming January transfer window.
Occupying the 14th spot on the league table, the 18-time English champions have thus far only managed to bag all three points in one of their seven league matches.
Furthermore, the Reds’ front-line has also struggled to hit the back of the net consistently, and the Irish mentor eye Locadia as a perfect addition to his front-line.
However, the only concern for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 is that the 18-year-old has thus far only made four appearances for PSV. In addition, the Dutch talisman, who has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion until the summer of 2017, will not be available on cheap in the
upcoming winter transfer market.
And it seems likely that the youngster’s lack of experience and mammoth price tag will force the Reds management to look for other options.
