Liverpool looking to join Tottenham in Scott Parker chase

Liverpool are looking to tag along with Tottenham in their attempt to raid West Ham, for the team’s talismanic midfielder Scott Parker. However this tag team is going to be a rather volatile one as both the teams will be looking to go up against each other
instead of working together to secure the players services.
Roy Hodgson has been promised some funds by the clubs owners, in hopes of him strengthening the team this coming winter. Once the manager was promised the funds, one of the players that he went on to add to his wish list was West Ham’s captain Scott Parker.
However the manager is almost guaranteed to be facing a stiff competition from Harry Redknapp and his Tottenham, who have also been long term admirers of the player and his abilities.
Parker has recently gone on to extend his contract with the Hammers, but that seems to have made no dent in Liverpool and Tottenham’s attempts to sign the player and that is most probably because of the fact that West Ham are doing rather terrible this season
and could see themselves be a part of the Championship, come this summer.
West Ham have been made aware of this constant threat from the Premier League clubs and as a result have gone on to slap a whopping twenty million pound price tag on their player. That being said it seems kind of hard for Liverpool to be able to fork out
that kind of money, looking at the budget that they have been asked to run on, however if the team manages to get rig of a player or two then it is a very strong probability that Parker could be a Red at the start of the winter transfer window, or by the end
of the season. This is of course if the player decides to opt for Liverpool over Tottenham that is.
According to most experts a move for Parker to Liverpool, could and most probably would prove to be the smarter choice for the player as it would provide him with a better opportunity to shine and develop his talents even further. Apart from that he would
end up playing alongside Steven Gerrard, who also happens to be the England captain as well as being the Liverpool captain, which means that if he forms a solid partnership at Anfield, he could potentially see his international career prosper even further.
