Liverpool looking to land Benfica duo; Coentrao and Cardozo
One of the Premier League’s biggest surprise disappointments of the season, Liverpool are looking to turn things around. The team is currently looking to make a swoop on Benfica in January, in hopes that the addition of some new players could reignite their
season. The players that the team are looking to land are side back Fabio Coentrao and striker Oscar Cardozo.
Roy Hodgson the current manager of the team, has almost already admitted defeat and he strongly feels that the only way for him to try and turn things around, is if he makes some major changes to the current roster at the club.
The manager is also well aware of the fact that the current owners of the club have gone ahead and stated that they will in almost no circumstance spend through their teeth to sing new players in fact the new owners are currently looking to offload some
player to make some money available to the club and themselves.
For this very reason the manager has targeted players who would cost him close to nothing, due to the simple fact that no one else is currently bidding for them. Nonetheless both the players have in the past proven that they are worth every penny that is
to be spent on them.
Coentrao was one of the very few Portuguese players that actually managed to impress during the World Cup. The player was quite simply brilliant, being all over the field; looking eager and involved in helping his team to win. Had it not been for him his
team could have had a far more disappointing season.
The Paraguayan striker, Cardozo was also a huge success at the World Cup in fact the player really stepped up to the plate during the game against Spain. The striker has also been a phenomenal force every since his arrival at the club. He has so far scored
thirty eight goals for the team, after having arrived there way back in 2007. The player is also regarded to be one of the best strikers to every play for the team.
Hodgson has been looking to sign a forward to partner Torres for a while now, but he has almost never had the funds to sign the right player. Now however the manager might have just struck gold with Cardozo. The player has the physical presence and the right
mind set to play alongside Torres. The other reason for the player wanting to pursue the player is down to the fact that the addition of another world class striker could just see the player stay at the club.
