Liverpool looking to land Niko Kranjcar
Liverpool have apparently joined in the race alongside Aston Villa to sign Tottenham midfielder, Niko Kranjcar.
Liverpool are now reported to be the third team after, Aston Villa and Monaco to be interested in signing the out-of-favour Croatian midfielder. Ever since the arrival of Rafael Van der Vaart to Tottenham, the player has found it close to impossible to be
a part of the starting eleven at the club and as a result is facing very limited playing time, which has resulted in the player looking to leave the club in hopes of pursuing first team football.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are one of the least favourite teams to sign any player in the near future. This is because the club is currently not only going through the worst possible phase in its recent history, but is also on the verge of potentially
going into administration. If the team is to go into administration then there are close to no chances of them signing any player in the near future. On the contrary, if the team is to be taken over by new owners then things could turn out differently for
the Reds. Not only will they be injected by a new inflow of cash, but they would also be able to purchase a whole bunch of players in hopes of reigniting their spirits of winning some silverware this season.
Liverpool might be lacking players in almost every position on the pitch, but they could definitely use the likes of Kranjcar in their midfield. The player is one of the most attack minded midfielders around and also has one of the most creative brains that
a footballer could hope for. Liverpool are currently lacking any midfielder with the ability to attack or the ability to create any opportunities, which is exactly why the addition of Kranjcar could see the team cement at least one department of their game.
The question that still needs to be answered is, will Liverpool look to sign the player in January or in the summers. Kranjcar being a part of Tottenahm would be cup tied to play in the Champions League, which means that depending on how Liverpool do, he
may or may not be allowed by FIFA to appear in the teams Europa League games this season. On the other hand, Liverpool could make use of the player as soon as possible, with most of the players suffering a terrible injury record, the addition of another midfielder
who doesn't get crocked too often, would be like a blessing to the side.
