Liverpool looking to replace Roy Hodgson
Liverpool, a team that have been in dire need of some good news, were promised just that when Roy Hodgson was brought into the side to replace the outgoing Rafa Benitez. However the managers move to Anfield from Fulham has been anything but that. Ever since
his arrival to the team, Liverpool have been performing at their all time worst. The team is in fact currently just one spot above the twentieth position in the Premier League, which is something that could have not even been imagined to be true a couple of
years ago.
The main reason for the poor from that has been displayed by the team this season, is down to the fact that the players just don’t seem to be inspired when they take the field. In fact the players if anything feel like they are zombies when on the pitch
and there only task is to last the ninety minutes of regulation time. The team seems to have lost all its creativity and the cutting edge that it once used to have in abundance. Along with that the teams star players, like Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres
have been mere shadows of their former self. The players are currently just like the team, displaying there worst form ever and most experts believe that it won’t be long before the player call it quits on the team.
The main reason for this sudden downfall in the teams performances can be traced down to the fact that, Hodgson just isn’t doing the job that he is required to be doing at Anfield. The manager when being brought it was well aware of the fact that the team
was in desperate need of motivation and the manager claimed that he could help provide the team with just that. However so far he has done nothing more than fall short of his initial promises and claims. This is exactly why the teams new owners are now pondering
a replacement for the manager.
The manager that the news owners of the team have in mind to replace Hodgson is none other than Barcelonas former Dutch managerial hero, Frank Rijkard. Rijkard who was appointed by Galatasaray just terminated his contract with the team and is now avalible
to be brought into whatever team really needs his services. With the manager already having managed some of the best players in the world, he has the perfect attributes to come into a struggling Liverpool side and help them return to their former glory once
again.
However it might seem a little unfair to Hodgson if he does get forced to face the axe, but he can’t say he wasn’t given the opportunity to prove himself. That being said almost every Liverpool fan out there will be hoping that whoever comes in should just
be able to get the team back to their winning ways and if that is what does happen, then they wouldn’t really care who the manager of the team is.
