Reports from the Merseyside confirm Liverpool have reignited their campaign to sign the Belgian footballing prodigy, Eden Hazard. Since the summers of 2010, Kop has been trying to lure the Lille midfielder to Anfield, however, no conclusive decisions have
been made.
Liverpool and Lille have been sitting at the table for a while now and it is surprising that no progress has been made on the matter. Firm initiative was taken at a couple of instances trying to prevent the deal from going stale, unfortunately that is exactly
where the matter is headed now.
Financial matters and uncertainty from Hazard are the major obstacles in the transfer. Previously, Lille had been unwilling to let go off the 20-year-old player for £18 million, a price which does seem too ostentatious.
Hazard has also expressed reluctance in joining a club from English Premier League. The Belgian International clarified his detest by lambasting against the English style of play. Time and again Hazard has been found to appreciate the creativeness and skill
used in Italian and Spanish Leagues. It is expected the youngster will soon be on his way to a club from Serie A or La Liga.
Liverpool’s form in recent seasons will not be helping their case either. Though the arrival of Liverpool’s legendary 'King', Kenny Dalglish, as manager has helped them rise and rejuvenate from their poor run of form, they are still far from a top finish
or even a Champions League qualification.
King Kenny, nonetheless, is making progress with the club and has already signed in a couple of shinning stars during the winter transfer window. His two main signings include Uruguayan forward from Ajax Luis Suarez and English striker Andy Carroll from
Newcastle United.
Top notch clubs have already shown interest in signing the Belgian prodigy. Clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Juventus and AC Milan have all been linked with the player but still no official moves have been announced from either club.
It is expected Lille will be letting Hazard take the final decision regarding his transfer after he provided the club with invaluable services. Hazard started his junior career with Lille from 2005-2007. In 2007 his immaculate form earned him a position
in the first team, and ever since, the youngster has been progressing with leaps and bounds. Currently he has featured in 130 games for them, scored 25 times and assisted in 18 goals.
Liverpool are also targeting Rennes midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eljero-Elia-c12318 from Hamburg.
