Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish: Joe Cole’s goal against Birmingham City will give him a lot of confidence

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has insisted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Cole-c18694’s goal against Birmingham City will surely give him a lot of confidence. He added that Cole would certainly have a part to play next season if he continued to do well.
Joe Cole came on as a late substitute in Liverpool's Premier League clash against Birmingham City at Anfield, on Saturday. The Reds comprehensively won the battle 5-0 and Cole scored the final goal with a right bottom corner finish.
Dalglish revealed that the midfielder’s contribution in the match was great considering he had not played as much as he wanted to recently. The cameo appearance would definitely give the midfielder a lot of confidence after the
injury-stricken season.
The tactician also admitted that Cole has had a frustrating time at Anfield since joining on a free transfer in the summer. The midfielder has had a season plagued with injuries and has lost his place in the starting line-up.
“Joe’s goal wasn’t a little contribution. It could be massive for him because he has not had as many opportunities as he would have liked as he’s been injured and suspended. He’s had a difficult time, but it is a great credit
to him the way he has been training and working every single day,” the manager was quoted as saying.
The former Liverpool legend also praised Cole’s determination and efforts despite a dismal maiden season with the club. He stated that the player is fully fit and is training hard to fight for his place in the starting eleven.
“He’s not let it affect him, and that’s all I can ask for – for anyone when they do get their chance to go on and do their best. He is fantastic in training. He plays everything right and doesn’t have a problem,” the Scot concluded.
Joe Cole joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 on a free transfer last summer and was signed by former manager Roy Hodgson. The England international has scored three goals for the Merseyside club in a total of 28 appearances.
