Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish pays tribute to defender Martin Skrtel – EPL news
Liverpool manger, Kenny Dalglish, has paid tribute to defender, Matrin Skrtel, following a fantastic season for the Reds. The 26-year-old has played every minute of the Reds’ 37 English Premier League games so far and has blossomed under Dalglish’s supervision.
Only Everton’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s last Premier League game, he will have a 100 percent record on the football
pitch for the Reds.
The defender has been ever present while the Reds’ backline has suffered constant injury problems; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jamie-Carragher-c17728 was out for a couple of months after
dislocating his shoulder. Furthermore, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Glen-Johnson-c15050 have also missed a number of matches due to hamstring injuries.
Dalglish was all praise for Skrtel and claimed that the defender is receiving lot of credit from his teammates as well.
He said, "He's been fantastic this year and really grown in stature. He's been a real asset for us. He gets credit from the people who really matter - the people here. He wouldn't have played every game if he didn't. He's been a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 asset for us."
“It's a fantastic achievement but we have to wait and see if he's playing on Sunday or not, No, I wouldn't like to spoil that perfect record.” Joked the Reds Boss.
The Reds have witnessed a remarkable change in fortune under Dalglish managerial tenure. The Club were struggling in the bottom half of the EPL table under former manager Roy Hodgson but the Scot has guided the Merseyside club from 12th to 6th spot
in the EPL standings since he took over in January 2011.
With only one game remaining in the season, the Reds still have an outside chance of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League competition next campaign provided they can win their next fixture against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur drop points against Birmingham
City as all the team kick-off at the same time on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/May-22-c39884, 2011.
