Liverpool manager rumors Roy Hodgson to replace Rafael Benitez Rafael Benitez has moved on and Liverpool is actively looking for replacement. Manager is a important post and lot of thought process needs to go into it before Rafael successor can be brought forward. One name that is circling high in the football circle is Roy Hodgson. Liverpool are in no hurry and did not make any formal enquiries to anyone but the search started even before Benitez moved on. Hodgson was approached several times. Hodgson has an impressive resume; he led Fulham to the final of the inaugural Europa League this season and that too with limited budget. He has a very positive style for dealing with the players a trait highly appreciated by the Liverpool’s hierarchy. Liverpool's American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett who are not liked by the fans are willing to sell their stock but price being asked shows they are not in serious. The debt of the club is increasing, Liverpool owes the Royal Bank of Scotland £237, the bank wants the owners to be reasonable in their asking price. Lack of trust in Hicks and Gillett coupled with mounting debt are forcing the top players at Liverpool to rethink their future. One of the first task for Hodgson will be to stabilize the players concerns and persuade Steven Gerrard from moving to Real Madrid and Fernando Torres to Barcelona. Liverpool needs a savior someone with a big heart and determination to bring everything in order. Fans are looking forward to the winning ways but at the moment everything is heading towards the wrong direction.
