Liverpool may trade Ryan Babel for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or Loic Remy
Sources have revealed that the AC Milan striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar has a high probability of joining Liverpool while Ryan Babel from Anfield could be on the departing end as the clubs are discussing an exchange deal.
Media has spotted the 26 year old Dutch player Huntelaar in Manchester which has lead to speculation that the player could be signing up with either Manchester City or Manchester United.
However, at the moment it is more likely that Netherland international will be heading to Manchester City rather than United. Simply because manager Roberto Mancini has informed that City is still in the market scouring for talented players while United’s Sir Alex Ferguson has stated once before that he done signing for the season and possible signing of Karim Benzema from Real Madrid might be his last.
Media reports have however suggested that Huntelaar could join the Merseyside but there are conditions for that, for instance, if he gets a just contract and if the star Spanish striker decides to stay with Liverpool this season.
Huntelaar recently has seemed more and more distant from AC Milan. He was not with his team at Milanello, which further implies that the striker is planning to make a switch from Rossoneri. Reports have suggested that if the deal tends to happen then Liverpool would be sure to add Ryan Babel as a part of it as the striker would be replacing him and after a disappointing previous season the Reds will be looking for a good chance to get rid of him.
Rumours are that Everton football club is also interested in signing the Il Diavolo forward Huntelaar. Still it is apparent that their arch rivals Liverpool will have the upper hand.
It’s all rumours for now in reference to the future of Huntelaar but this is however a fact that the AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri isn’t attached to the striker anymore and didn’t have much to comment on when asked about him.
When asked he replied, “Huntelaar, for now, is a Milan player”. There is also speculation that Huntelaar could make a transfer to Tottenham Hotspurs or Aston Villa. Huntelaar has been in the best teams of the world including Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan. He came to AC Milan in 2009 and since then has played 25 matches in which he has scored 7 goals.
Huntelaar is not the only player considered doing an exchange deal. The boss of Anfield, Hodgson has revealed that the signing of the Nice forward, Loic Remy might also result in something like the one they are planning for the Dutchman Huntelaar.
In an attempt to convince Nice to let them sign up Remy, Hodgson has presented his striker and midfielder Nabil El Zhar and Damien Plessis that sum up to around 800, 000 pounds. Remy on the other hand values about 14 and a half million pounds.
The Reds are in pursuit of the French club’s striker for a long time though they have struck very low luck yet. They have been all over the place trying to count the money they have to buy the striker. Hodgson just recently said that he will try to attain the striker with the funds he gets from Emiliano Insua and losing Fabio Aurelio.
The Merseyside have pleaded to the French club to give them some more time but the Europa Cup is at hand and so is the English Premier League. They both will have to make their decisions soon.
Though Remy is eager to play for Liverpool and Nice favour the English club, West Ham United are ready to pay 10 million pounds for the player in advance. With the situation becoming dire, Hodgson has stated that he is looking at other options too and Uruguayan Jorge Fucile who performed spectacularly at the 2010 World Cup has also become an option though he has a price tag of 6 and a half million pounds.
