Jay Spearing is hoping that the form his teammate, Andy Carroll has displayed in the past few matches carries on until the end of the season.
Liverpool have found a rich vein of form since their humiliating defeat at the hands of Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok stadium last week. The performance was so woeful from the Reds that Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish threatened to axe a number of players if they did not get their attitudes right.
The Reds have since gone on to knock Premier League highfliers, Manchester City, out of the semi-finals of the Carling Cup and just a few days later dumped bitter rivals, Manchester United out of the prestigious FA Cup as well.
Andy Carroll played a big part in the latter when he headed the ball on for fellow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463.
It was a flash of brilliance that had been missing from the former Newcastle United striker, though he managed to go one better in Liverpool’s next match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952.
Carroll managed to meet a low cross from Charlie Adam and slot the ball past the Wolverhampton Wanderers keeper for his side’s first goal of the night.

Speaking about the match against Wolves, Spearing said, “Tonight he (Andy Carroll) showed exactly what he is capable of doing for his club. Hopefully he can carry on and keep doing that until the end of the season.”
Commenting on the striker’s strengths, Spearing added, “Andy can cause all sorts of problems in the air but he’s also great with his feet as you’ve seen with some of the turns he does and his finish for that goal.”
