Liverpool midfielder and skipper, Steven Gerrard, on the road to recovery, expected arrival at preseason

recovers from his surgery.
The medical team has confirmed that Gerrard is on the fast road to recovery after a successful surgery. They have also confirmed that the Englishman will be ready for action before English Premier League starts next season.
The Reds’ skipper has been dogged by a groin injury all season. The injury provided one setback after another before the medical team finally advised Gerrard a surgical treatment.
Like a final nail in the coffin, Gerrard’s last groin injury nearly tore him apart. Therefore, the star agreed to go under the knife which forced him out of action for the final part of the season.
Gerrard’s groin injury took a turn for the worst this February and he has been sidelined ever since. The surgery took place in March, however, since then Liverpool’s prized possession has been on the road to recovery.
While talking to the media, Gerrard informed about his progress, saying, “I'm doing well. I saw the surgeon this morning and he gave me the green light to push on”. This means Gerrard will be back to practice at Melwood training grounds soon enough.
Gerrard has been witnessing his team’s superb performance from the sidelines. Under the management of Liverpool legend, Kenny Dalglish, the Reds have rejuvenated from one of their worst starts to a season to hopefuls of a European competition qualification.
Dalglish anticipates that Liverpool would show true colours of their former glory next season. He has been successful in rejuvenating and reuniting Liverpool’s squad, a task which was Herculean to say the least.
With Liverpool having Gerrard back in their ranks, they will be ready to put their best show in decades at the Merseyside next season. Gerrard has confirmed his stay at Liverpool next season after early rumours linking him to a transfer.
He has also confirmed that he will also be available for the preseason action. The midfielder informed, “So it's all looking good for me to be back for pre-season”.
Gerrard admitted that he knew his February dismissal meant he would be out of action for the season. He confided that he needed to recover a 100% so that he could hand the best to his beloved club and that could only happen with a full recovery.
The 30-year-old attacking midfielder stated, “I'm a month in and it's a three-month rehab. Things are going well. I just need to progress and push on now, and keep improving”.
