http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 is confident the Reds can make it two wins out of two matches against their bitter rivals as the two sides face off in the Barclays Premier League.
It has been a difficult few seasons for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the Barclays Premier League as the side that were once a major force in Europe have not appeared in the UEFA Champions League as much as they would have hoped over the past few seasons.
While the side’s domestic form has been inconsistent, their track record against the big clubs in the league has been more than just a little impressive. It will be a statistic the Merseyside club will be looking to build upon as they are set to visit Old
Trafford on the weekend to take on their bitter rivals, Manchester United.
One player who is hoping for a double against United is Jordan Henderson, though when he refers to a double, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 U21 captain means a win both away and at home.
Liverpool drew with Manchester United at Anfield in the league after Javier Hernandez cancelled out Liverpool’s goal, but the Reds came out on top in the FA Cup where they sent their bitter rivals crashing out of the tournament.
Henderson explained what the game meant for the side when he said, “It’s another massive game for us. Hopefully we can go there and get another victory.”
He continued, “The spirits are still really high. We played some good stuff against Tottenham and created some good chances but just didn’t manage to put any of them away.”
Henderson was referring to the goalless draw against the London side, which Liverpool dominated for large periods of the match but could not find the goal to take all three points.
He was confident that the performance would not bring the confidence levels down as he stated, “We could take a lot of positives from the game and now we’re looking forward to facing United.”
“We’ve won some important games away this season and that gives us a lot of belief.”
When asked about the club’s away form this season, Henderson seemed just as surprised as everyone else, “I don’t know why we seem to have done better away from home this season.”
