After taking a look at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Doni-c11553, Flanagan and Carragher it is now time to turn our attention to the rest of the Reds squad.
Martin Skrtel – Defender
One of Liverpool’s contenders of the season, Skrtel has had a fine season for Merseyside club. His defensive performances have been sound and consistent and the Slovakian international has also managed to find the net on the odd occasion.
It was another sound performance from the hard-tackling centre-back who once again was the stand out performer in the Liverpool defence.

Jose Enrique – Defender
It’s difficult to rate Enrique as the Spanish defender likes to get forward a lot during matches. The fixture against Aston Villa was no exception as Enrique found himself spending more time in the opposition half than his own.
Defensively, Enrique made a few blunders that never looked solid enough, yet he made up for it by piling the pressure on Aston Villa’s right flank.

Henderson really impressed on the occasion. Playing alongside Steven Gerrard in the centre of Liverpool’s midfield is where the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 U-21 Captain belongs and he demonstrated that with his best performance of the season.
Playing almost in a holding midfield role, Henderson not only broke play up but managed to retain possession as well and feed the ball to players around him.

When it comes to putting in quality performances on a consistent basis, Gerrard has to be up there with Luis Suarez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672. The scouse midfielder put in another determined performance and it was his cross that eventually found Suarez after Daniel Agger’s effort rebounded off the post.
The Reds’ skipper dictated the flow of the match in the second half, a period which the home side dominated, yet Gerrard has to be left wondering how his teammates failed to put away the plethora of chances that had come their way.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 will need Gerrard to put continue to set the benchmark for other players to follow, though even this was far from his best performance.
