According to reports, Kenny Dalglish’s side have shortlisted a number of potential transfers for the summer with Wigan Athletics’ Victor Moses and Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson both targeted.
Liverpool have not had the best of time when it comes to transfers under the Director of Football-ship of Damien Comolli, who left the club a few weeks ago due to ‘family reasons’. However, his position is soon to be filled, with the owners, Fenway Sports Group, looking for a candidate who can bring in players that meet their transfer policy requirements.
The philosophy adopted by the Reds is to bring in young, preferably British talent into the squad though nationality is not as importance as the player’s long term potential.
One player who fits the Liverpool bill perfectly is Wigan Athletic’s want away star, Victor Moses. The player’s agent revealed that contract talks between the player and Wigan have broken down with the pacey winger looking to secure a move elsewhere.
His agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Victor-Moses-c36075 has just a year left on his contract with Wigan Athletic and we were about to start talks on the extension when he said he does not want to sign a new deal.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 will be one of many clubs likely to be seeking the player’s signature when the transfer window opens at the end of the season though the Reds will have to move fast with Tottenham also planning on making an approach for the player.
The Reds have also found themselves linked with Sunderland’s Gylfi Sigurdsson, who has been in fine form since his loan move to the Barclays Premier League from German side Hoffenheim.
The player is said to be valued at £10-million though that price could go up depending on serious Hoffenheim will be in terms of keeping the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iceland-c2921 international.
Manchester United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 have also been linked with the player who has scored seven goals in 14 appearances for Swansea and has been instrumental in the clubs reaching the levels that they have this season.
Kenny Dalglish was one of many managers who saw Sigurdsson play against Bolton Wanderers on the weekend and would surely have been impressed by what the player’s consistency in terms of performances.
