http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 sign Ajax striker Luis Suarez for 26.5 million Euros
Liverpool have managed to agree to a fee to land Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez, from Ajax.
If media reports are to be believed, it appears that Suarez will be on his way to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 from Holland as early as tomorrow, after a deal worth around 26.5 million Euros was agreed between the sides.
Both teams were believed to be negotiating over a potential move for the player, but it seems like Liverpool have finally caved into the Dutch club's demands.
However, Suarez will only become a part of the Reds if he passes his medical at Anfield and the chances of him doing so are probably a hundred percent at the moment.
Suarez has been a revelation to Dutch football after the player signed for Ajax in 2007. The forward has gone on to score a whopping 110 goals, in only 154 appearances for the team and is hopefully going to repeat the same success
at Anfield.
Liverpool are currently sitting at the seventh spot in the Premier League table, and it does not look as if the Merseyside can improve that statistic by the end of the season. Nonetheless, the addition of Suarez to the side could
prove to aid Liverpool's cause of landing European football by the end of the season.
This news has also managed to surface only hours after it was believed that Liverpool turned down a bid for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. With Suarez now almost a Reds player, it is still unclear as to what affects will this move
have on the Spaniard’s stay at the club. Liverpool could either let him go, since they have managed to land the Uruguayan, or the Spanish World Cup winner could finally realize that the team is only going to go forward from this point on and decide to stay
at the club after all.
