http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are looking to strengthen their squad for the next season and according to a French newspaper the Reds have signed the talented midfielder, Sylvain Marveaux, from French Ligue 1 team, Rennes.
Marveaux certainly was on the Reds’ radar after a series of fantastic performance for Rennes, the player’s record adds to his reputation as one of the best emerging talents on the football field.
The Frenchman has scored 20 goals in 118 appearances for his club and also has 16 assists against his name. Furthermore, the 25-year-old is a versatile player, who can play as a winger as well as a central
midfielder.
Unfortunately for Marveaux, he has been on the sideline in the ongoing 2010-11 season due to a serious groin injury sustained in November, 2010. Despite his injury, Liverpool director of football, Damien
Comolli has seen enough of the player to be convinced that he will be a success at Anfield.
The Frenchman’s contract with Rennes expires at the end of the current campaign and he will be joining the Reds on a free transfer.
