http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314 Steven Gerrard revealed he was looking forward to returning from injury to play alongside Luis Suarez. The Reds signed the 24-year-old Uruguayan striker from Ajax in the January transfer window for a fee of £22.8 million, along with Newcastle
United striker Andy Carroll.
The England international picked up an injury towards the end of last season, because of which he was sidelined for the remainder of the season. He has not yet recovered from the groin injury and will not be accompanying the rest of the team in their tour
of Asia.
However, he insisted he would be fully fit in time for the next campaign and was looking forward to linking up with the new strike force. Gerrard was confident the winter transfer window arrivals would make a difference for the club in the upcoming season.

Gerrard said in an interview:
“Luis is dynamite. He's been magic for us so far. If he can maintain his form I think we've got a star on our hands.”
The Liverpool midfielder continued:
“It's early days and we can't get too carried away by putting too much pressure on him but if he can keep producing those kind of performances, he will be a fantastic signing.
When Andy [Carroll] is fit, the two of them could make a deadly partnership.”

Gerrard said:
“You look at Zidane, Rooney - it's just the way they are. The players that don't have the edge lack something, that sparkle or fire in their belly.
That's what makes Luis who he is. He's a fighter and despite having a lot of skill, he's a worker as well.”
