Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has heaped praise on his teammate Luis Suarez and insisted that he and the Uruguayan can develop a formidable partnership upfront for the Reds.
Carroll has made five appearances for Liverpool and is yet to score his first goal for the club.
Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez joined the Merseyside club in the January 2011 transfer window after the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Carroll was out with a knee injury until the start of March when
he made his debut in the 3-1 win against Manchester United.
The former Newcastle striker said that he and Suarez have been training together and they will surely develop a striking partnership upfront. He claimed that the two have played only a couple of games together and the combination will be fruitful for the
club in the future.
“It's been good. In training we've been on the same team and working hard together. We've played a couple of games together now which has been promising, so I am looking forward to it. As we continue to train together, he'll get to know my movements as much
as I will know his,” Carroll was quoted as saying.
The 22-year-old added that he hopes to score a lot of goals for his new club and form a good partnership with Suarez. He praised Kenny Dalglish for his help and was thankful to the Liverpool fans for their support. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international vowed to give
his best for the club and repay the manager’s faith.
“I'm positive we can score lots of goals for the club. I'm hoping it will be any time now that I will get a goal, and he will probably give me the assist,” concluded the forward.
Liverpool are currently in sixth place with 45 points and are 5 points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who occupy the UEFA Europa League qualification berth.
The Merseyside club requires a fifth place finish in order to qualify for the Europa League as Birmingham City have qualified for the competition through a Carling Cup win over Arsenal.
