Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close watch on Bojan Krkic, the 21-year-old Barcelona striker. The English Premier League side are planning to bring the out of favor forward to Anfield at the end of this season. Krkic has the potential of being one of the top strikers but lack of first team experience has hindered his progress; he has managed only six starts this season but has still managed to score three goals and set up two.
The Reds were linked with the 20-year-old Spaniard last summer when the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Mascherano-c18071 saga was going on. It was rumored Krkic would come to Liverpool in a trade off deal with Barcelona, however, that was not the case as Mascherano left for the Nou Camp and the Catalan also retained the services of the young forward. Krkic is contracted to Barcelona until the end of the 2015 season and is valued at an estimated €20 million.
Damien Comolli, the Reds director, is confident he can convince Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to let the mostly unused striker leave in the summer. It is understood Liverpool caretaker boss Kenny Dalglish will be given a more permanent job soon and will have money to spend in the upcoming transfer window. Even though he bought Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in January, Dalglish will want to bring in reinforcements in the summer.
Barcelona eye Real Madrid’s young talent
Barcelona are monitoring the progress for two young Real Madrid player, 18 year old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-c5280 Morata and 17 year old Jese Rodriguez. The Catalan side are attempting to rob their arch rivals of two of their brightest prospects in the upcoming transfer window.
Morata and Rodriguez, the Spanish youngsters, have made their way up from the youth academy and are refreshingly good as compared to the other young players to emerge from the Madrid http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787. This may be why they have caught the attention of Barcelona, who are determined to land the players as soon as possible.
Morata plays as a striker and has already made an appearance in the first team in the Copa del Rey under manager Jose Mourinho. Rodriguez on the other hand is a midfielder and is yet to feature for the senior squad, but with the way things are going it won’t be long before he too gets a chance to prove himself with the senior team.
Barcelona made their interest public for the two player’s right after English Premier League side Arsenal snatched 16 year old Jon Miquel Toral right from under Barcelona. There have also been reports Liverpool are interested in buying Bojan Krkic over the summer, which has caused the La Liga giants to panic and look for other young talent.
