Liverpool to offload http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Mavinga in the summer transfer window
Liverpool look set to begin offloading in the summer transfer window, after having spent over £74 million on Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 in their recent purchases over the recent transfer windows. David N’Gog and Chris Mavinga, who have
not featured regularly for the Reds, look close to an Anfield exit in the near future.
Even though N’Gog and Mavinga will not fetch more than £5 million, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is eager to get what he can for the pair. The Frenchmen are no longer needed at Anfield and Dalglish is desperate to finalize their departure so he can make
more room at the Premier League side. Having only bought Henderson this summer, Liverpool are expected to spend more in the current transfer window.
N’Gog, the 22-year-old striker, transferred to Liverpool in the 2008-2009 season from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain. He got off to a flying start under then manager Rafael Benitez, scoring in only his second appearance for the Reds. He made 19 appearances
in all competitions that season and found the back of the net thrice.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 under-21 international continued his success with the Reds in his second season at the club. Under Rafa Benitez N’Gog continued scoring on crucial moments for Liverpool, which caused the Spanish manager to give him more starts. In the 2009-2010
season, N’Gog scored 8 goals in 37 appearances.
Even though his statistics in the 2010-2011 season were similar to the previous season, with 8 goals in 38 appearances, he failed to impress Roy Hodgson or Kenny Dalglish. The arrival of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll has not helped the Frenchman’s case, as
he looks set to be heading towards a definite Anfield exit.
His three seasons with the Premier League outfit have definitely increased his value, and Liverpool can expect to receive as much as £4 million for the young strikers’ services. N’Gog has not yet commented on his likely departure, but at the same time has
been linked with other Premier League sides, such as Aston Villa and Fulham.
Mavinga, the 20-year-old left-back, arrived at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 at the same time as N’Gog, signing a three-year deal with the Reds. He left Paris Saint-Germain due to the Ligue 1 side’s failure to meet his demands in terms of money offered. At the same time he
was linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, but the youngster chose Liverpool instead.
His arrival at Anfield saw him being placed with the reserve team, where he became a regular in the Premier Reserve League. While he was moved on to training with the senior squad in the 2009-2010 season, the departure of Rafa Benitez was a huge setback
for his career. Hodgson did not agree with the Spaniards decision and moved Mavinga back to training with the reserve team.
The player requested for a loan move away, which was accepted by Hodgson and an agreement was reached with Belgian outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Genk. Mavinga moved to Genk in the January transfer window for the remainder of the season, making nine appearances in the league.
With last season having come to a close, Mavinga has returned to Anfield.
However, both the French players will most likely be on their way out soon. With Mavinga expected to fetch not more than £1 million. Racing Genk, Rennes and Villarreal have so far shown interest in the young French defender.
