Liverpool have reportedly tried to offer Manchester City Andy Carroll in exchange for Carlos Tevez, but ended up being shut down by the league leaders.
It seems like the Reds had been working on making an approach for the Argentine striker for quite some time, but once Manchester City officials found out about what the team was willing to offer, they ended up shutting them down.
Andy Carroll went on to join Liverpool from Newcastle United in January last year for a fee of thirty five million pounds. However, following his move to the club, the striker has managed to score only six goals and is considered to be one of the worst transfers
made by the team.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez has his fair share of problems at Manchester City. The Argentine hasn’t played a single game for City, every since he refused to participate in a Champions League game against Bayern Munich and he is more than likely to never
play for the team again.
Tevez is currently being linked with a move to AC Milan, but the way things are progressing between the two clubs, he seems destined to remain a City player at the end of the January transfer window.
The City forward has repeatedly insisted that he is looking to move out of the club and it is now only a matter of finding a team that is willing to sign the striker.
At the moment it is unclear if City were offered Carroll and cash for Tevez or if the Reds thought that offering a failure for a player who has impressed for every team that he played for would to do the trick.
According to most experts, if City are not presented with any offers for Tevez by Tuesday, they could begin talks with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 to try and discuss the possibility of making a transfer.
Nonetheless, in order for Liverpool to land the player, they are going to have to make City an offer they can’t refuse and the only way for them to do this, is if they offer ample cash and a player or two.
