http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s Damien Comolli believes Kenny Dalglish is the perfect manager for the club – EPL news
Liverpool’s director of football, Damien Comolli, has claimed that Kenny Dalglish is the perfect person to lead the Reds into a new era of glory. The Frenchman’s comments come just after Dalglish signed a three-year contract with the club to become the permanent
manager.
The Scot arrived at the helm back in January to help stabilize Liverpool at a time when they were facing the prospect of finishing in the bottom half of the Barclays Premier League. Under the guidance of previous manager, Roy Hodgson, the Reds had gotten
off to their worst start to the campaign in more than half a century. The Englishman failed to make an impact at Anfield, and he soon lost favour with the fans.
The club’s owners, New http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 Sport Ventures, were forced to replace Hodgson in January, and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish was appointed as the interim manager for the remainder of the season.
The Scot has been a revelation in the short time he has been in charge. Dalglish has overseen the club’s spectacular rise in form over the past few months, one which has seen them climb into a UEFA Europa League slot of the Premier League table.
Liverpool’s strong end to the campaign has laid the foundation of success for the months and years to come, and the club’s owners see no one better to lead them into the future than the man who got them there in the first place. Dalglish has been offered
a three-year deal with the Reds, and Liverpool director of football, Damien Comolli, believes that the Scot was the only logical choice for the job since the day he first took the reins of the club back in January.
Comolli said, “We didn't look around. Very early on we knew Kenny was the right person and, along with (assistant coach) Steve (Clarke), we had the right coaching staff behind him. We were talking about man-management, playing style and attacking football
and that is exactly what we have seen.”
"We have seen exactly what we thought we would see and that is why we did not speak to anyone (else).”
Liverpool are currently in fifth place in the Barclays Premier League standings with 58 points. Dalglish managed to get them there in just four months in charge at Anfield.
