Liverpool attacker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348 is confident he will continue his goalscoring record against fierce local rivals Everton. The Dutchman is hopeful to start in the upcoming Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
The 31-year-old attacker has a prolific record against Everton. Kuyt has found the net on five differed occasions while playing against the Toffees, since his arrival from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 in 2006.
The Dutch striker, who was Liverpool’s top goalscorer last season, has seen limited first team action since the start of the ongoing 2011/12 Barclays Premier League. Kuyt was one of the sure starters at the Anfield as he featured in over 40 matches in the
previous campaign. However, the 31-year-old has only started three of Liverpool’s six matches so far.

It’s a game I really enjoy.”
Kuyt also recalled the Merseyside derby of October 2007, when the Dutchman scored two penalties against Everton to clinch all three points at Goodison Park.
“In my second year as a Liverpool player, it was a really tough game and breaks went our way. I remember Rafa [Benitez] read out his list of penalty takers before the game and I was second choice. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Voronin-c6020 was first on the list.
“When the referee gave the first penalty, Andriy came to me and asked whether I wanted it because he didn’t feel too confident. I said: ‘No problem, I’ll take it’.”
Dirk Kuyt is expected to get the nod ahead of under-fire English striker Andy Carroll against Everton.
