Liverpool midfielder, Jay Spearing, has expressed his delight on signing a new deal and committing his future to the club. He stated that he was pleased to finally have signed a new contract after graduating from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 at Melwood. The midfielder
also praised manager Kenny Dalglish for his support and hoped to play for many more years for his boyhood club.
Jay Spearing has been phenomenal for Liverpool recently in the absence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 Leiva and has impressed the manager with his ability.
Spearing was excited on signing the extension and expressed his pleasure to stay with the club. The player had been playing for the reserves but an unfortunate injury to Gerrard provided him with the chance to play in the first team squad and prove his worth.
"I am buzzing to be honest. I'm pleased to have finally put pen to paper and got everything sorted. It has been a long time coming. I've been in the background and in and around the first team and maybe not had a run in the team, but now I'm getting that
run I've been able to show my desire and commitment to the club,” he was quoted.
The youngster was all praise for Kenny Dalglish for his continued confidence in young players. He said that the manager believes in his players, which give them a lot of confidence. Dalglish preferred the 22-year-old to the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Poulsen-c9114 and
the decision has paid off big time.
"I owe a lot to the boss and hopefully I am repaying him with the games I am playing. He put me into the derby straightaway and that gave me a lot of confidence. Any player who has the belief of the manager always wants to go on and show what he can do,”
he concluded.
The midfielder has made 34 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 so far and is yet to score his first goal for the club.
