Cole joined Liverpool from Chelsea on a Bosman transfer last season. However, the English midfielder failed to impress and played a bit role at the Merseyside club.

Cole is happy with his performances on the Asian tour and is determined to keep his impressive form going into the upcoming Barclays Premier League season.
The Reds midfielder told the reporters, “I've been happy with my performances.”
The 29-year-old midfielder has claimed that he is fully fit and is desperately waiting for the next season to start. Cole admitted that he is satisfied with his performances in the pre-season friendlies, but admitted that more playing time is required to
regain peak form.
“Now I just want to get started. I feel great physically, I'm happy with how I'm performing and I want to get a couple of 90-minute run-outs under my belt.”
