Liverpool’s Kenny Dalglish brushes aside all mind games of Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson
English Premier League (EPL) leaders Manchester United will take on Liverpool at Anfield in an important clash on Sunday, 6th March. The clash holds a lot of importance especially for the leaders who are at the moment a mere four points ahead of second placed
Arsenal. A defeat against Liverpool can leave them just a point ahead of the Gunners, if Arsene Wenger’s side beat Sunderland when the two teams go head to head today (5th March).
Just a few days ahead of the clash, Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson has started playing mind games and tips his side to come out on top of Kenny Dalglish’s Liverpool. Though the opposing manager has ignored Fergie’s comments and is totally focused on
Sunday’s game, which means a lot to the 60-year-old manager.
Dalglish insisted that Ferguson is just wasting his time and energy in making these comments and it won’t have any effect on his players as they are determined and ready to do well against Manchester United.
The ManU manager was recently charged with improper conduct after he criticised referee Martin Atkinson after the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at Stamford Bridge which the hosts won 2-1.
Dalglish said Ferguson had a rich history of making such comments before a crunch game and it won’t really have any effect on them. “He has used psychology before in the pre-amble to matches. But he will only get sparring practice if he tries to use it on
ourselves,” the 60-year-old added.
The aspiring Liverpool manager shrugged off any comments from his counterpart, saying that he and his team didn’t really care about playing any mind games ahead of the clash and would only reply to them while playing in the ground.
“We've both been a long time out of short trousers. It will have to be a good one to catch us out.” Dalglish added while commenting on those mind games.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are currently sixth in the League table and a win would leave them four points behind fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur while it will also dent United’s hope for the title if Arsenal beat Sunderland a day before the Liverpool-Manchester United clash.
