Liverpool’s Kenny Dalglish hails Charlie Adam’s impact in a friendly – EPL News
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has hailed Charlie Adam’s impact in the Red’s recent 4-3 win in a friendly against Chinese second division side, Guangdong.
After being heavily linked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 for the past six months, Adam was signed from Blackpool for £7 million last week. The Scottish midfield magician, who had immensely impressed during his spell at Bloomfield Road, immediately joined Liverpool for
their Far-East tour.
The former Blackpool midfielder gave a substitute appearance for Liverpool at China. Adam made an immediate impact and orchestrated the Reds play for most of the time. Dalglish also hailed defender Conor Coady who was also making his first team debut for
Liverpool and went on to mark his name on the score sheet.
Dalgish said, “It was good to see Conor score his first goal and for Charlie to make his debut.”
The Reds manager is content with his team performances against Guangdong but he has asserted that there is still plenty of room for improvement.
“To score four goals is obviously a bonus, but it’s only our first game and there’s lots of work still to do,” added, Liverpool manager.

But, Kenny Dalglish is happy with his team’s performance and has insisted that the main aim of the friendly match was to get match practice.
Dalglish expressed his discontentment on Liverpool’s failure to keep a clean sheet and added, “It was a really good workout for us in very difficult conditions. We were disappointed to concede the goals at the end of both halves.”
Liverpool manager played all his players in their recent friendly and is happy that none of his player suffered any injured during the match.
“But the main thing is that the lads got a run out and it’s good they all played 45 minutes without picking up injuries,” Dalglish concluded.
Liverpool will now travel to Malaysia to play a friendly against Malaysia XI.
