Liverpool’s Kenny Dalglish hoping to take Manchester City by surprise in Barclays Premier League

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager Kenny Dalglish believes that Manchester City may be distracted by the lure of the FA Cup title when they take on the Reds in the Barclays Premier League on Monday, 11th April. The Scot claims that City have too much on their
minds to turn their full attention to Liverpool.
Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will face bitter rivals Manchester United to keep their hopes of silverware alive. That encounter is preceded by the upcoming match against Liverpool, and Reds manager Kenny Dalglish
believes this will be the perfect opportunity for his side to catch City unawares.
Speaking on the matter, Dalglish said, “Manchester City are going for a Champions League spot and in a week's time they've got a big semi-final against Manchester United in the FA Cup. I'm sure they'll have half an eye on the cup tie the following week because
it's a massive game for them.”

The Liverpool boss added, "It makes their task a wee bit easier for that game I would assume because Wayne (Rooney) won't be eligible (because of the ban by the FA)."
Manchester City can’t afford to let their Premier League duties take a backseat to their FA Cup dreams. The Sky Blues are chasing a top four finish in the League to secure a place in next season’s Champions League tournament, a milestone that owner Sheikh
Mansour is desperate to achieve.
City have spent huge amounts of money to strengthen their squad in a bid to challenge Europe’s elite, and should they fail to reach their Champions League target this season, City manager Roberto Mancini’s position could very well be under threat.
It is something that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is acutely aware of. The Scot said, “They're a club that, for a while anyway, was a special club and it's always been a wee bit romantic for most football supporters. But they've gone more business-like
now and stepped up to the plate, spent a lot of money and they'll be looking for success."
