With the win, Liverpool are now sitting pretty at the fifth spot in the league and have a decent chance of making it to the Europa League next season. At one stage, even a top ten finish looked beyond the Reds.
Kenny Dalglish’s influence over the Liverpool side has enabled them to contend for the title and on the evidence of their recent performances in the league, it cannot be doubted that the Reds have the ability to prove their mettle.
