Recent predictions assume that this player will be moved at a transfer price of around seven million pounds and even a swap deal could be making its way to bag this youngster.
Lucas Barrios
Lucas Barrios is an Argentinean born Paraguayan player that plays for Borussia Dortmound and is only twenty six years old.
He started his professional football career with the Argentinos Juniors in 2003, stayed with them for a year, and gave in seventeen appearances with scoring five goals playing as a forward.
In 2004, he made a year long spell with Tigre then moved to Temuco in 2005 then moved through another four clubs in the next four years to end up in Borussia Dortmound in 2009 and since then has given in forty five goals and scored twenty six goals from
them.
He has also been a part of the Paraguayan national team in 2010 and has represented his country eleven times and scored four times for International glory.
He applied for the dual national ship process on the eight of April 2010 which was granted later on, Barrios is the fourth Argentinean to play for the Paraguayan national team and he was officially added to the team on the fourth of May 2010 and was made
a part of the World Cup squad.
The rumours floating about around the player is that Liverpool is going to make a swap deal for him either with Milan Jovanovic or with Ryan Babel and add in more cash to confirm the settlement.
Barrios is a player that is very effective in the specific areas that he targets and this is exactly what Roy Hodgson is looking for, this also gave him the nick name ‘The Panther’ which is locally called La Pantera.
Barrison has been a key element in the Dortmound squad that has taken them to the Champions League and his highlight of the season was the hat-trick that he scored on the twenty fourth of November 2010 in the match against FC Numberg and it is this hat-trick
that made all the top clubs of Europe have an interest in this player.
It was also this match against FC Numberg that confirmed the club’s spot in the Europa League. In his first season in Germany, he scored a goal in the dying moments of the match which gave his club the third rank in the Bundesliga and the player also became
the top scorer of the league as he scored nineteen times from thirty three games.
If Barrios continues his form and keeps playing with this consistency then he will be just what Liverpool needs.
