The Reds and Warrior revel in the success of the newly launched home kit as it breaks all launch day records, including those set by Reebok and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adidas-c38219 in previous years.
According to a statement released by Warrior on the official http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC website, the new kit’s pre-order sales figures were up by a 100 per cent as compared to the last year’s home kit, which was sponsored by Adidas.
The General Manager of Warrior, Richard Wright, pointed out how the figures were much higher than anyone had anticipated. He said, “Warrior are delighted with the response to the home kit. It has exceeded our expectations and has been a great start to the relationship with the club and the fans.”
The kit is the first one designed and released by the American brand after Liverpool opted to sign on with Warrior instead of continuing their deal with Adidas.
The deal was valued at around $25-million and currently holds the record for the most lucrative kit deal in the Barclays Premier League. That means it is worth more than Manchester United, Manchester City’s, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s kit deals as well.
The move was part of the major restructuring of the club by its principal owners, Fenway Sports Group, as they looked for a cash injection to not only recover some of their investment in the club but also to build a foundation and steady stream of long term revenue to finance the plans for a new stadium.
Wright also pointed out that fans should get themselves excited for July when Warrior was planning on releasing the club’s away kit. It would be followed by the third/Euro kit, along with the training range the month after.
He said, "We look forward to the launch of the away kit and training range in July, and the Euro kit and Euro training range in August."
Fans have taken to the new kit well and #LFCKIT was trending worldwide on the social networking platform, Twitter.
According to Warrior, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 and Luis Suarez were the two players that fans seem to love the most as the number 8 and 7 shirts were the best-sellers.
