Hi. I'm about to go into college & take in nursing. My family just visited the Philippines & I felt how much I wanted to live there again. My plan is to go back to the Philippines after my college and try to get a job either as a nurse or doctor in the Philippines, but I did some research and it showd that nurses over there doesn't get a high salary like the US. does.

I really want to go back because I miss my family... but I'm also worried about my future. Should I go back there to work, or stay here? I'm tired of living here and want to go back to my homeland .....

  1. u could go back for sometime and do some work for ur country...like im pretty sure they're short of nurses and doctors since everybody is like migrating...which is terribly sad

if ur going back keep in mind that its like not the money really. its the fact that ur going home and serving ur fellow filipino people and living at the place u love..but if u like want money and all might as well stay where u are..

  2. Umm stay here!

  3. theres no place like home...being a filipino myself, i think you should stay there until the time you have saved enough to work again in the Philippines...its hard here now...the peso is poor and while there are opportunities in many different hospitals for nurses like you, the pay is somewhat low and youll end up overworked and underpaid... i know you miss your family but if i were u, i wouldnt go back until i have saved enough to live a decent life in a place full of political woes and uncertainties...u can ask even your family about this...im not kidding...you may regret ever coming back here unprepared...

  4. yes its true that the salary receives by the nurses here(Philippines) are too little compared to the salary given in the US..that's y many Filipino took nursing to go abroad and look for bigger opportunities. me too, I'm not decided whether to take nursing or pharmacy~ cos i want to go abroad after i graduate and have my license..But its still ur choice whether u want to work here or in the US. choose where u will be happy..

    GOODLUCK~ :D
