  1. I am in the UK

Other places I'd love to live would be:

Yllas in Lapland (Finnish) as no pollution and snow for around 6 months of the year. Guaranteed a white Christmas too! No yob culture or high crime rates. Finnish people so friendly and polite too.

Queensland, Australia ...beautiful ocean and warm climate with nice Aussies.

  2. For financial reasons I would choose Monaco.

For it's climate I would choose Monaco.

For it's scenery I would choose Monaco.

This is becoming a no brainer. Monaco it has to be.

  3. Originally from Birmingham, U.K, we have now been living in Xylofagou, Cyprus for the past three years.

Back in the U.K. we had been burgled three times, my car had been stolen ( recovered) and my husbands van was stolen too ( not recovered), and as he was self-employed at the time, this made life really difficult. We were really fed up with life in what essentially was considered to be a nice area. We had been on holiday to Cyprus on several occasions, and had always said that if we were to move anywhere, then Cyprus would be our ideal choice!!

We researched several options for accommodation, and eventually decided to have a house built for us. As a result, our developer, along with his family, and several of his staff have become close friends, our house is built in a village, where there is a good mix of both Cypriots and ex-pats, the standard of living is much better.....life is much slower ( we had to learn to adjust!!!)...and slightly cheaper too; our council tax is approx £120 per year!!!

We rarely have to lock our house or car, and frequently come home to find the local farmer has left us a bag of fresh fruit or vegetables....and once came home to find a neighbour had planted flowers in our garden!! The chances of  that happening in the U.K are extremely remote!!

Oh, and even though we have a severe water shortage here at the moment....the sunshine is still an added bonus!!
