  1. a quid is an english pound

  2. Quid means euros.

  3. rent: 350 month

    food: 120 month

    bus card: 60 month

etc: depends how many times you go out, a night in town can go from 50 to 300 quid  easily.

  4. I studied in Dublin for 4 months and found it outrageously expensive. My advice is to figure out an estimate of how much money you will need, then multiply that by 1.5 if not by 2. I didn't have to pay rent, but food was probably 150 euros a month. If you want to eat cheap, get used to eating a lot of pasta. Electricity was expensive once it got cold, maybe 60 euros a month. The bus is usually about 1.50 for a one-way trip. If you drink, try to drink beforehand at home then only have 2-3 drinks once you're out.

  5. rent - 360+ a month (to share a room. Approx 400+ for a single).

    food - 200+

transportation - in and out of town, from 2-3.60 per day, but bus tickets (ramblers, for example, where you have unlimited travel for around 16 euro for 5 days or so, or about 70 euro per month).

bills - gas and electricity, approx 50 per month

nights out - as someone else said, anything from about 50 euro upwards.

The above are rough examples, based on my own experience of living in Dublin and that of some of my friends and colleagues. See links below for more details on transport and rent.
