  1. Yes, Sweden is quite expensive. Especially now, as the currency exchange rates for Americans are terrible.

Price of milk - just over $1

    Loaf of bread - $2.50

    Butter - $3.50

    Pasta (1kg) - $1.80

    Potatoes (1kg) - $1

    Minced meat (1kg) - $10

Bottle of wine - from $6.50

Sweden does not have a minimum wage. It is negotiated company to company with their union (majority of workers are part of a union)

Taxes varies depending on where you live in Sweden - roughly about 33% of what you earn

A 2-bedroom flat in Stockholm could cost you about $950

A 3-bedroom flat in Stockholm could cost you about $1250

A 2-bedroom flat in a smaller town could cost you about $660

A 3-bedroom flat in a smaller town could cost you about $890

The most expensive cities are the major ones, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö...

    Gas is about $2/liter

Don't know much about cars. Someone else will have to answer that for you.

I used to live in San Diego actually and everything is cheaper there apart from housing which was ridiculously expensive.

  2. Check this I lived in Sweden this year for a few months. I played pro football this year fro them from May-Aug. If you go to myspace an look me up, on my blog there is a write up and next to it there are prices of gas, milk, bread, beer, etc. But I will put it like this, it is 6 kronors to a dollar, and for a meal at McDonalds you are going to 60 to 75 Kronors, that is ten dollars or more. It is expensive to live there. But a plus is that everybody can speak English mycket bra(very good in Swedish) But check out the article, also on my agent's webpage too, forgot- www.worldsportscouting.com       G.C. McCoy
