  1. I live in Ely Cambs. and I just collect all my plastics in a black sack and take them to the plasic bottle bank. All plastics are derived from oil so they shoild be recyclable. If this is not the case then they should make it possible for us to recycle everything.

  2. They go in your recycling box.  I live in the area covered by BANES, and they take ALL plastic except for microwave food cartons.

  3. I live in bristol and the council tell you to recycle recycle recycle,,, but they will not pick  up plastic from your house... You have to take it to a recycling centre.....

I wonder what my cars carbon foot print is for 10 miles all for the sake of an empty plastic bottle of milk !!!

  4. I live in Bristol and take all plastic bottles to major supermarkets, eg Sainsbury's at Filton, Tescos etc where they have containers for most recycle items.  I have to put my plastic containers out in the wheelie bin because I don't know what else to do with it.  I am going to the large recycle depot at Mangotsfield tomorrow with shredded paper (my collectors will not collect this) - and will ask there about plastic containers other than bottles.

EDIT the person above me is correct in BANES they take all plastic (my parents live there) - I think the lack of consistency is appalling.
