I hear Cambodia is a very beautiful country, and a rich culture. But what holds me back is all the story's of poverty, and ALL the child s*x slaves. Is there ANYTHING positive about Cambodia? Are their ANY wealthy Cambodians there?

  1. OMG, I LOVE Cambodia. There is a lot of poverty but the people are very friendly and everything is super cheap.

The town of Sihanoukville on the coast is a tropical paradise. You can rent a room overlooking the ocean for $150/month and the ocean is as clean and warm as you could ask.

Beer (if you are into it) is only a dollar a glass (35 cents during happy hour) and meals average between $1-$2.

I stayed there for three months earlier this year and am going back there to live. You MUST check it out.

  2. I really don't know what Cambodia is like but one of my friends is from Cambodia. She said her mom had faced a lot of problems as a child but my friend seemed happy enough. I think you should go check it out. Everything is cheap there.

  3. While there is A LOT of poverty in Cambodia, it is one h**l of a country. It is BEAUTIFUL, you could live there very cheaply. MOST people are friendly, and the culture is so tangible, you could cut it with a knife.
