What must one do in order to obtain citizenship, schooling, and a place to live in Canada?

I am looking into Canda and need a personal point of view in getting started in order to live there. What must i do first? What is required of me? How do i find the right school?

I know too many questions, but i would appreciate all the information given to me.^_^ Thanks!

  1. Depends a great deal on where you are coming from, how old you are, and why you are coming here.  They just about give away student visas.  You don't have to become a Canadian citizen to live here.  You can live here on a student visa, a temporary visa (to work) or a Permanent Resident visa (which means you keep your own country's citizenship, but you are allowed to live here and work here, and do pretty much everything except vote - even collect pension when it's time).  In all cases, they review your personal history as to health, criminal record, education, current living circumstances (dangers to you in home country), if you have any relatives living in Canada (a plus).  Your best information is a Canadian Consulate closest to you.  You can also check on-line at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp to get extensive information.  I know many people who have moved to Canada from different countries - it takes time to get through the immigration procedures, but right now is a good time to come, as immigrants are welcomed with open arms (we need the workers).
