I am a 18 year old guy from Perth, wanting to go to a particular uni course at ANU.

However, I am very concerned that Canberra could be a bit dull.

Can you please tell me about clubs pubs and bars in Canberra? as well as any other forms of entertainment?

Moreover, my favourite sports are tennis and badminton, where could I play these in Canberra?

thank you in advance

  1. As you can imagine, Canberra is not exactly the 'liveliest' place in Australia like most other major cities are, but it's really not that bad. You can still get out there and have fun, and the pubs, clubs and bars are really very similar to what they are, really, anywhere else. And in Canberra, you will be avoiding the areas and places that are considered 'g*y, bad and dangerous' like for example Kings Cross in Sydney and Fortitude Valley in Brisbane.

For tennis, you've got your Hawker Tennis Centre as well as other venues, and Badminton even has an association that plays at the ACU, which might be very convenient for you.

  2. you can do the sports, there's heaps of people here into sport

it is boring, but if you go out make friends, it won't be, anywhere can  be boring you just have to make it fun.
